"Great value for money" We had a very comfortable stay in this hotel in October 2005. It is very conveniently situated and central, one minutes walk from the beach, the airport bus stop and the tram stop/connections to narrow gauge railway. Also a few minutes walk to the bars and restaurants of the old city and the cathedral. It is very cheap and good value to eat around there, better value than the Esplanada where prices are higher, but still not excessive. The staff all seem to speak good English and are very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with TV including CNN and BBC world with a huge and well equipped bathroom. The breakfast buffet was brilliant, with cheese, meat, croissant and pastries, fruit, dried fruit, cake and (highly recommended) the spanish omelette. The downsides: Water was tepid at best and there is not much chance of a view. The inner rooms look out onto each other, so there is a slight privacy issue and the outside rooms look out onto a dark narrow street that does not get much sun. Despite these I would still highly recommend this hotel. NB The airport bus is numbered C-6 and leaves from stop 30 just outside arrivals at the airport and from outside the pharmacy opposite the roundabout for return journey.
